OBJECTIVE
Launch this new entrant into the UK confectionery and biscuit market, building profile with key trade buyers and positioning the brand as a contemporary and stylish alternative to existing ‘Swiss’ products on the market.
SOLUTION
To quickly convey Swiss Delice’s modern, premium, female-focused positioning, the brand become the official chocolate sponsor of London Fashion Weekend. The show became the springboard for a trade buyer and press launch, which was attended by all major retail chains and key trade titles. Alongside this activity, a highly proactive trade media relations campaign was implemented, which included visits to the factory in Switzerland, interviews and launch releases.
RESULTS
The launch for Swiss Delice was high profile and quickly positioned the brand as one to watch. The campaign helped build relationships and achieve listings with Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Waitrose and Somerfield from day one. From a media point of view, blanket coverage was achieved across all titles and also resulted in Swiss Delice being named as ‘Star Product’ in the confectionery sector by The Grocer in its annual Top Products Survey.
